We will echo time until the end of it

A site-specific sound work for the courtyard of Leuven’s town hall (‘Vrijthof’). In We will echo time until the end of it she uses musical techniques and poetry from the 15th century — the time when the town hall was built. A pre-recorded composition with elements of polyphony, renaissance poetry and contemporary field recordings is played spatially through four megaphones that are spread out. Niyomkarn transforms the courtyard into a bearer of memories of love and conversion, creating an immersive experience in time and space where the inner and outer worlds merge.
